Overnight Oats & Berries

½ cup of rolled oats, steel cut oats, bulgur, or buckwheat
½ cup of any plant-based milk or water
½ cup of any plant-based yogurt (optional)
1 tsp of chia seeds, hemp seeds, or flaxseeds (choose one, two, or all three!)
½ cup fresh berries (try one or mixed)
½ cup of any nut (try one or mixed)
A very great way to begin our days is with a heart healthy serving of overnight oats. It is very simple and takes just a couple of minutes to prepare the night before. All you need is a glass jar with a lid. Choose any steel cut oat, rolled oat, bulgur, or buckwheat, a berry, a seed or nut, a spice, and a sweetener (optional). Layer them artfully in the glass jar in any amount preferred, pour fresh clean water or milk of your choice, just over the top of the last ingredient, place in the fridge, go to bed after a warm cup of herbal tea, wake up, and enjoy the most amazingly refreshing breakfast.
